Wellpoint filters

of the wellpoint filters most used in drainage works. The flow rate of the free suction filters obtained by varying the depression and, from this, their theoretical maximum flow rate have been calculated. The graph highlights the values obtained.
Further tests have also been performed to determine the pressure drops and frictions that most affect the flow rate values. The pressurized water injection system was chosen to highlight them. The values obtained for the 1 “1/2 and 2” diameter filters are substantially corresponding and are highlighted in the graphs which also show the pressure drops relating to two different types of steel mesh for the coating of the filter frame itself.
