JACKETED WELLPOINTS

JACKETED WELLPOINTS

Installing the wellpoint system inside the excavation is possible especially when buildings with sub-walls of existing structures or with underground floors (protected by concrete bulkheads) have to be built. In these cases, however, the presence of the system, which must remain in operation until the structure is completed, determines discontinuity during the casting of the foundations as it creates a series of holes that must be closed with particular care after the extraction of the wellpoints. To allow the system to work even in these conditions, we are able to offer jacketed wellpoints that can then be removed once the work is finished.

The most used method consists in protecting it with PVC pipes with a water-stop flange. This protection, once the casting has been completed and the wellpoints removed, will be plugged with a suitable material.

In some cases, also a protection with a flanged iron jacket can be used.
